Prisma 8
Landscape has been, and continues to be, one of the great genres of the visual arts. Since it acquired autonomy, it has become much more than a mere representation of the natural environment; it has also been a symbolic recreation of emotional and philosophical states. Today, landscape has multiplied its formal, stylistic, and conceptual implications, and it dialogues with a context increasingly shaped by the impact of new technologies. For the eighth edition of the Prisma competition, which will also serve as a parallel exhibition for the 15th Havana Biennial, ArteMorfosis focuses on landscape in contemporary Cuban art.
